I spent a year in Berlin and, during that time, I made those tracks. Before going back to France, I realised that those ten songs actually had a strong coherence, considering the fact that I made one every month and that I always tried to tell something, to tell what was going on in that city, to share moments, feelings... you know, that kind of stuff. They worked great together, at least to my ears, because each one was a part of my Berlin experience. Some of them, you might notice, have really obvious samples - the thing is that I wanted to use the music I was listening at the moment because I knew that those songs were going to become Proust's madeleines, that they would remind me of leaving Marseille and Morgane, Romain, my family, but also of Friedrichstrasse, Charlottenburg, Neuköln, Ilona, David, Hesam, the U-Bahn, the parks, the people, Augustiner, Kraüter sauce, cafés, clubs... so here you have it: my Berlin.
